- Mary Webb was the daughter of John Webb (1739-1811) & Rachel Davis (1748-1834). She was born in 1770, probably in VA. She married Jacob Mills (1770-1850) in 1786. They were counted in the First KY Census in 1790. By 1796, they were the first settlers in Warren Co., OH, where Jacob was elected Major in the Militia. In 1809, they moved to Greene Co., OH where they were among the first settlers in that county. Jacob was elected the first Justice of the Peace in Miami Twp, Greene, OH. Jacob & Mary had 13 children. They were: Rachel, John, Owen, Daniel, Martha "Patsy", Letitia "Letty", Huldah, Catherine, Thomas, George, Lewis, Hannah, & Helen.
Died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Nayl Baker (wife- Huldah Mills) in Miami Twp, on the 19th of June 1859, Mrs. Mary Mills, widow of the late Jacob Mills. Mrs. Mills was born in Pennsylvania, on the 22nd of June 1770. She moved to Kentucky, when she married Mr. Mills and emigrated with him to Ohio in August 1796. She was the mother of fourteen children, and at the time of her death, she had eighty-six great grand children, & three great great grand children. During the long years that she resided in this county, she was noted for her kindness as a parent, friend and neighbor. Xenia Torchlight
